Job Description

To manage a team of water meter engineers within the Water Metering contract for STW. To ensure successful delivery of metering projects while maintaining high standards of Customer Service and Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organise labour efficiently, including recruitment and absence management.
2. Manage resources such as materials and plant.
3. Coach and develop staff to reach their potential.
4. Conduct team briefings.
5. Monitor staff performance according to specifications and instructions.
6. Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, including program meetings, client updates, and site visits.
7. Maximise plant and vehicle utilisation.
8. Control and reduce wastage of materials.
9. Own the overall process, implementing efficient working methods.
10. Manage plant responsibility and liaise with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with H&S, Environmental, and Quality policies.
11. Act as a Health & Safety Representative, conducting inspections and reporting incidents.
12. Use the GARD system to organise work and reduce costs.
13. Ensure accurate logging and collation of plant sheets.

Experience and Qualifications

• Computer literacy.
• Experience in Utilities sector.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
