Site Supervisor - Wastewater Capital Works

Compensation: £35,000 - £45,000 / year

Description

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing resources involved in the repair and maintenance of the wastewater network across designated areas for our client.

You will supervise operational repair and maintenance activities to resolve issues such as poor supplies, no water, leaks, and water quality problems. Your responsibilities include repairing burst mains, leak repairs, stop tap repairs, equipment installation, and investigations/tracing supplies. You will provide operational leadership, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and meets our client’s expectations. Customer service, alongside Health and Safety, is critical to the role.

Customer satisfaction is measured through the regulatory C-MeX metric. You will work closely with the client to improve C-MeX scores and demonstrate leadership in caring about customer ratings of Network Plus’s metering services.

You will coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure repair and maintenance work is delivered according to schedule. Effective communication with impacted customers will also be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise water repair and maintenance teams and their daily activities
• Organize labor efficiently, including recruitment, disciplinary actions, wages, and absence management
• Manage resources such as materials and equipment
• Ensure accurate documentation of work, including photographs and meter asset details
• Visit local sites regularly to review progress and performance, ensuring standards are maintained
• Conduct monthly team briefings, coaching, and development sessions
• Perform team inspections to ensure compliance, quality, and first-time right operational delivery
• Act as a Health & Safety representative by conducting inspections, raising safety concerns, and investigating incidents

Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level
• Health & Safety qualification (advantageous)
• Experience in utilities sector
• Supervisor Street Works qualification
• Knowledge and experience with deep excavation
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Effective management skills
• Financial and commercial awareness
• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Full UK Driving Licence
• First Aid at Work certification
• Abrasive Wheels and Manual Handling certifications
