Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our Operations team. You will deliver major maintenance and minor improvement schemes across the Midlands, performing construction surveillance and assurance inspections to verify quality of works by external contractors, reporting to the Construction Assurance Manager.

The role is safety critical and involves regular travel to sites; you may work evenings, nights or weekends and benefit from an out‑of‑hours allowance.

Qualifications

• Proven highway/structures and maintenance/construction experience.
• Experience on high-speed Trunk Road/Motorway networks.
• CSCS Card Holder, SSSTS or SMSTS certificate is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assure completion of planned works to agreed standards and escalate concerns.
• Ensure works comply with CDM regulations, HSE and environmental legislation.
• Provide regular feedback to Project Managers on progress, risks and issues.
• Coordinate delivery programme with supply chain partners and perform buildability reviews.
• Represent National Highways and assure supplier performance on site.
