National Highways is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our Operations team in the Midlands region. You will supervise major maintenance and minor improvement schemes, verify quality of works with external contractors, and travel across the region as required.
This safety-critical role requires a valid CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS; you must reside within a commutable distance of Birmingham or Nottingham and be able to drive with up to 3 points on your license.
National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our team in Operations. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the delivery of major maintenance and minor improvement schemes across the Midlands region. Reporting directly to the Construction Assurance Manager, you will undertake construction surveillance and assurance inspections to verify quality of works undertaken by external contractors.
You’ll have the opportunity to work a varied schedule, which may include regular evenings, nights and weekends, and you’ll benefit from an out‑of‑hours allowance and/or overtime, in addition to your base salary for any work undertaken during these times.
As this is a safety‑critical role with regular travel to sites across the region, you must either live or be able to relocate to within one hour’s commutable distance of Birmingham or Nottingham. This role will be based from our Birmingham or Nottingham office, or an operational depot in Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire or Northamptonshire.
Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role, and you will need to have no more than 3 points to be considered for this position and during employment.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
