Job summary

HL Services (London) Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction & Landscaping Supervisor to join a St Albans-based team, overseeing projects across the South East of England. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors and day-to-day works while ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes hard and soft landscaping coordination, RAMS, and project documentation with a focus on leadership and site management across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years' experience in construction, landscaping, or related sector.
• Proven experience supervising construction/site teams.
• SSSTS and SMSTS qualifications are essential.
• Strong health & safety knowledge and procedures.
• Experience with RAMS, site documentation and project coordination.
• Full UK driving licence preferred and CSCS qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction activities across multiple sites.
• Manage site operatives, subcontractors and external contractors.
• Oversee groundworks, construction and hard landscaping activities.
• Coordinate soft landscaping activities including planting and turfing.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Monitor progress, quality and productivity on site.
• Enforce health & safety procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings and inductions.
• Ensure RAMS are understood and followed by all personnel.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and deliveries.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Complete site paperwork and progress reports.
• Identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain project timelines and high workmanship standards.
• Support successful delivery from start to completion.
