Job summary

Warwickshire County Council's waste service seeks a Mobile Site Supervisor to oversee operations at the Stockton and Wellesbourne Recycling Centres. You will lead a small team, ensure safety, legal compliance and efficient processing of waste and recycling, and coordinate coverage across sites as needed.

The role covers a full-time, seven-day rota with outdoor work in all weather. Strong spoken English is essential to advise the public and enforce site rules.

• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Capable of physical, manual work and operating machinery.
• Accurate spoken English to give advice to the public.

• Run the HWRC safely, efficiently and in an environmentally compliant way
• Ensure the site meets Duty of Care and other legislative requirements
• Ensure adequate containers are provided for safe recycling and disposal
• Ensure plant machinery is operated and maintained appropriately
• Work at other sites when Stockton and Wellesbourne are closed
• Cover for Site Supervisors at other sites as necessary

Job description

Mobile Site Supervisor post at the Stockton and Wellesbourne Recycling Centres, run by Warwickshire County Council's waste service. The role is to supervise a team serving members of the public at household waste recycling centres, keeping sites safe, legally compliant and well equipped, and overseeing plant machinery. It is a full-time seven-day rota on shifts, with cover for other sites when these two are closed. Spoken English must be fluent enough to advise the public.
