CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee water and wastewater projects in the North East. The role requires strong supervision of site teams, subcontractors, and plant, with a focus on safety, quality, and programme delivery.

You will coordinate activities across sites, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and maintain safety standards while reporting progress to Project Managers.

Formación

• Experience as Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Essential water and/or wastewater project experience.
• Good understanding of civil engineering construction methods.
• Experience managing site operatives and subcontractors.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Site Supervisor - Water / Wastewater

Location: North East England

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Package

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Site Supervisor to join a well established civil engineering contractor, supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Supervisor with a strong civil engineering background and previous water industry experience to join an established contractor, overseeing site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating site teams and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring construction activities meet the required quality and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day site operations across water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinating site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues.
• Carrying out site inspections and maintaining quality standards.
• Ensuring risk assessments and method statements are followed.
• Maintaining accurate site records and daily reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory position within civil engineering.
• Essential experience working on water and/or wastewater projects.
• Good understanding of civil engineering construction methods and site operations.
• Experience managing site operatives and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant construction qualifications, including SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Full UK driving licence.
