Job summary

Rocket Staffing Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent/Site Manager to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southern Water area. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and resources, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.

• Proven experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience as Site Agent, Project Engineer, Site Manager or similar delivery role.
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work across the Southern Water operational area.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.
• Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site resources.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor construction programmes and drive progress against milestones.
• Monitor project costs and contribute to commercial reporting.
• Review and implement construction methodologies, RAMS and temporary works requirements.
• Liaise with Southern Water representatives, stakeholders and internal project delivery teams.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
• Support planning, procurement and resource allocation.
• Ensure works comply with engineering designs, specifications and contractual requirements.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Site Agent or Site Manager with a background in water and wastewater infrastructure? Our client is seeking an experienced construction professional to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southern Water operational area. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of projects, working alongside site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and water industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, programme delivery and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Flexibility to work across the Southern Water operational area.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working under NEC forms of contract.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator training.
• CSCS Manager Card.
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience working directly with UK water utility companies.
