Job summary

Caval Limited is seeking a Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager for a Nottingham project. The role supports the Site Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating trades and deliveries, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality on site.

The position requires a hands-on approach with fit-out experience, common sense supervision of subcontractors, and the ability to lead on-site activities when needed.

Qualifications

• Fit Out & Refurbishment experience.
• Trade background, ideally joinery or general fit-out.
• Experience supervising site/subcontractors.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, quality and site procedures.
• Ability to coordinate deliveries, inductions and day-to-day site activities.
• Hands-on approach with joinery and general fit-out work.
• Capable of stepping in for the Site Manager when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Site Manager as the number two on site.
• Assist with day-to-day running and coordination of the project.
• Supervise trades and subcontractors to ensure works progress safely and to programme.
• Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.
• Carry out site inductions and ensure operatives comply with safety procedures.
• Monitor quality, progress and workmanship across the site.
• Assist with resolving practical day-to-day site issues.
• Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, organised site.
• Carry out snagging and assist with joinery and fit-out works.
• Help coordinate multiple trades to meet standards.
• Maintain clear communication with the Site Manager and project team.
• Take hands-on responsibility when the Site Manager is off site.

Role: Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager

Pay: £25.00 per hour

Location: Nottingham

Start: 14th September

Length: 12 weeks

Requirements:

• Fit Out & Refurbishment experience
• Trade background, ideally with joinery or general fit-out experience
• Experience working as a Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or similar
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, quality and site procedures
• Ability to coordinate deliveries, inductions and day-to-day site activities
• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to get involved with joinery, snagging and general fit-out work
• Ability to take responsibility for the site when the Site Manager is off site or unavailable

Responsibilities:

• Take a hands-on approach to the role rather than being purely management/desk based
