Our client is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead a two-person installation team delivering high-quality laboratory, educational, and commercial furniture installations across the UK.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll oversee projects from delivery through to final installation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Working alongside a Site Fitter, you'll be responsible for site operations, quality control, and maintaining excellent relationships with site managers and clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in kitchen fitting, joinery, laboratory furniture installation, or specialist interior fit-outs who is ready to take the lead on site.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the installation of:
- Laboratory furniture
- Cabinets and storage systems
- Specialist fixtures and fittings
- Sinks ready for plumbing connections (no plumbing or electrical work required)
Projects are based within schools, universities, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and commercial buildings across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a two-person installation team.
- Carry out high-quality installations of laboratory furniture and specialist interiors.
- Install cabinets, worktops, shelving, storage systems, and associated fixtures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with project specifications.
- Liaise professionally with site managers, contractors, and clients.
- Complete site paperwork, quality inspections, and progress updates.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site health & safety.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Previous experience supervising installation teams.
- Strong background in kitchen fitting, laboratory furniture installation, joinery, shop fitting, or similar interior fit-out work.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- First Aid at Work.
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
- Experience working within schools, laboratories, healthcare, or commercial environments.
