Job summary

South Shore Academy, Blackpool, seeks a Site Supervisor to join the premises team. This full-time, 37-hour-per-week, all-year-round position supports estate operations and requires a hands-on, proactive approach.

Working under the Senior Site Supervisor, you will focus on health and safety, compliance, grounds, asbestos, and contractor coordination to maintain an excellent learning environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Interface with colleagues within the Academy and wider Trust.

• Follow review systems and working practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and Trust led processes and policies.
• Support the learning environment by maintaining estates and coordinating with contractors.

Site Supervisor

37 Hours per week, Full Time

We are looking to appoint a Site Supervisor at South Shore Academy in Blackpool. The successful candidate will be a key member of the premises team, supporting the operation of the estate within our academy. This role requires someone who is proactive, is willing to be hands‑on with day to day activities and is detail oriented.

Working directly under the Senior Site Supervisor, they will interface with other colleagues within the Academy and wider Trust. The Site Supervisor will contribute to the day to day procedures including Health & Safety (including estates related safeguarding matters), compliance, grounds, asbestos and contractors.

This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, all year round. The successful candidate will need to be flexible with their daily hours of work which will include some evening and occasional weekend work. You will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of facilities management and health and safety related compliance. Stakeholder engagement is an essential part of this role, you will need to have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to work alongside the premises team and wider community to provide the best possible learning environment for every child in the Academy.

The successful post holder will be expected to follow review systems and working practices to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, recognised standards, and Trust led processes and policies..
