Department: Severn Trent Water

Location: Gloucester

Compensation: £35,000 - £40,000 / year

Description

As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee local operational teams responsible for the repair and maintenance of the water network. Your role involves supervising teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and meets client expectations.

Customer service and health and safety are critical to our work. You will ensure work is performed in a manner that builds developer confidence and adheres to a ‘right first time’ approach. Developer satisfaction is measured through the C-MeX regulatory measure. You will work closely with Severn Trent Water.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational supervision of Repair and Maintenance teams and their daily activities.
2. Organize labour efficiently, including recruitment, disciplinary actions, wages, and absence management.
3. Manage resources such as materials and plant.
4. Ensure accurate documentation of work, including photographs.
5. Visit local sites to review progress and performance, ensuring standards are met.
6. Conduct monthly team briefings, coaching, and development.
7. Perform team inspections focusing on compliance, quality, and right first-time delivery.
8. Act as a Health & Safety Representative, conducting inspections, raising safety issues, and investigating incidents.

Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level.
• Health & Safety qualification is advantageous.
• Strong management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
