We are the charity responsible for over 2,000 miles of waterways across England and Wales, dedicated to making life better by water. Every role contributes to transforming our canals and rivers into vibrant spaces for communities, promoting wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor based at Fradley Junction. The ideal candidate will prioritize excellent customer service, manage a team, and oversee maintenance and repair works to uphold the network’s reputation as a valued national asset. Responsibilities include team scheduling, recruitment, health & safety compliance, and hands-on construction activities, particularly in carpentry, bricklaying, or plumbing.
Based at Fradley Junction, with regular travel across the West Midlands and support for other regions. The primary work areas include Litchfield, Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa, and others. See the working area map and network details in the links provided.
Essential: Recognized craft qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or apprenticeship), valid plant operation competency, safety qualification, team leadership experience, construction environment experience, basic IT skills, and a valid driving license.
Desirable: Heritage/environmental awareness, additional plant operation licenses, Temporary Works Supervision, and Lift Supervisor competencies.
