Job summary

allpay Limited is seeking a Site Security Manager to lead security operations at our Hereford site. You will plan, implement and manage security measures to protect people, assets and operations with a hands-on, high-visibility approach.

You will oversee a small team, manage suppliers, and coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to maintain PCI compliance and a secure environment on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security management, preferably site-based.
• Experience with CCTV, alarm systems and access control technologies.
• Experience managing suppliers with regular reviews and accountability.
• HSE qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH is advantageous.
• Licensed/registered security professional (SIA) preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of UK security laws and regulations.
• Flexibility to work hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead on physical security design and site-wide implementation to the highest standard.
• Oversee access control, CCTV, surveillance and alarm systems.
• Direct security suppliers and contractors to ensure value and PCI compliance.
• Lead a 24/7 security team rota and incident response.
• Coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Manage security projects with defined timelines and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and company policies.
• Perform security inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on security standards to the workforce.
• Maintain records to high standards and participate in HSE and security forums.
• Align security policies with cyber and information security activities.
• Support Estates in supplier management for system upgrades and business cases.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Security Manager to oversee and lead all security operations at our allpay site in Hereford.

As the Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all security measures to ensure the safety of the site, personnel, assets, and operations. You will lead a small team of security personnel with a 24/7 on site presence and liaise with internal departments and external agencies to maintain a secure and compliant environment. allpay operates a high secure site and complies with strict PCI regulations.

In this role you will:

• Lead on all physical security design and implementation, securing the whole site to the highest standard.
• Manage security measures, overseeing sophisticated access control systems, surveillance equipment, and alarm systems.
• Actively manage all security related suppliers and contractors ensuring they deliver excellent service and value for money as well as maintaining strict compliance with PCI regulations at all times.
• Lead and manage the security team managing a 24/7 rota.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Actively manage security related projects with clearly defined timescales and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and company policies.
• Performing security inspections and regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and best practice.
• Provide support and guidance on security standards, regulations and best practice to the entire workforce.
• Ensuring appropriate records are maintained to the highest standards.
• Be a key member of the HSE Forum, working with other managers to ensure the safety and security of everyone across the site.
• Be a key member of the joint security forum, working with the cyber security manager and information security manager to ensure wide reaching security policies are aligned across the business.
• Support the Head of Estates in managing suppliers in the maintenance and upgrades of systems, building business cases and strategic plans as and when required.This role is an active hands-on-role, typically providing a high visibility presence to all employees and visitors to allpay.

About The Candidate

Requirements for the role:

• Proven experience in security management, preferably in a site-based role.
• Previous extensive experience with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control technologies.
• Previous experience of personally and actively managing the performance of suppliers, holding regular supplier reviews, holding them to account over contractual obligations.
• Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH is an advantage.
• Appropriate qualifications and memberships for a security role, preferably trained to licensed SIA level.
• Proven experience of leadership and team management skills.
• Proven effective communication skills, both verbally and written and to be able to confidentially influence colleagues and managers.
• Proven ability to resolve conflict and possess decision making skills.
• Knowledge of UK security laws and regulations.
• Experience of event management is desirable.
• Flexibility with hours of work and weekends.
