Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Platform/DevOps Engineer to own and improve our production environment across cloud and on‑premises platforms. You will develop tooling to support platform operations, improve dependability, performance, and delivery speed, and provide technical oversight for large distributed applications.

You will monitor metrics, collaborate with development teams, lead capacity forecasting, and help design automated, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes experience managing large-scale clusters.
• Strong observability skills using Grafana and related tools.
• Hands-on with monitoring/automation tools (Splunk, Datadog, PagerDuty, Rundeck).
• Experience with config management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Cloud DevOps certifications (AWS/GCP) or similar credentials.
• Proficient in Python/Go/Java/C#, with Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and familiar with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI.
• Strong containerization and microservices experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret system and application metrics to fine-tune performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with developers to improve service quality via testing and structured release practices.
• Engage in architectural discussions, manage platform operations, and contribute to capacity forecasting.
• Design and implement automated solutions to build resilient, scalable systems.
• Provide operational support and technical oversight for large-scale distributed applications.
• Lead incident management and conduct blameless postmortems with cross-functional teams.
