Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a high-profile project in Brighton, East Sussex. The role is based on-site with responsibilities covering procurement, valuations, and financial controls for a £25 million scheme.

The project involves two new student accommodation blocks, refurbishment works, and conversions of existing properties. You will work closely with the Senior QS and delivery team to ensure commercial targets

Qualifications

• Experience as QS on large builds or refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor management and procurement.
• Proven ability to monitor costs, variations and reporting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management from current stage through to completion.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, packages, valuations and payments.
• Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and final accounts.
• Work with Senior QS, site management and subcontractors.
• Maintain strong commercial control while building supply chain relationships.
