Job summary

Futurebuild Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a prestigious £25m project in Brighton, East Sussex. The role is on-site, supporting commercial management from current stage through to completion and coordinating with the delivery team.

You will manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments, monitor costs and variations, and assist with cost reporting and final accounts.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
Experience working on new-build and/or refurbishment projects.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to protect the contractor's commercial interests while maintaining constructive relationships with subcontractors.
Experience managing valuations and payments.
Experience with cost reporting and final accounts.

Responsibilities

Support the commercial management of the project from current stage through to completion.
Manage subcontractor procurement, packages, valuations and payments.
Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance.
Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and final accounts.
Work closely with the Senior QS, site management team and subcontractors.
Maintain strong commercial control and positive relationships with the supply chain.
