We are looking for a Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major construction project in South Derbyshire. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-performing commercial team on a large and complex scheme. You will play a key role in the day-to-day commercial management of the project, helping to ensure strong cost control, effective subcontractor management and successful financial outcomes throughout the construction lifecycle. Working closely with operational, design and supply chain teams, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of a significant project while developing your experience within a collaborative and supportive environment.
You’ll support the commercial management of designated work packages from procurement through to final account. This will include managing subcontractor relationships, preparing valuations and forecasts, monitoring costs and supporting the management of change and commercial risk. Working alongside the wider project team, you’ll help maintain robust commercial controls, provide accurate reporting and deliver the commercial insight needed to support project performance and decision-making.
We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of commercial management within the construction industry. You’ll have experience working on medium to large construction projects, managing subcontractor packages and supporting cost control activities throughout the delivery phase. Strong communication and organisational skills will be essential, along with the ability to build positive working relationships with project teams, clients and supply chain partners. You’ll be commercially aware, proactive in your approach and motivated by delivering successful project outcomes as part of a collaborative team.
