Job summary

Wates Residential is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on the Guildford Park Road regeneration project. You will work closely with the delivery team, customers and subcontractors to drive value and maintain project cashflow.

The successful candidate will have substantial Quantity Surveying experience in construction or residential development, with strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key commercial activities across the project.

• Prepare measurements, valuations and manage change control processes.
• Agree valuations with customers and supply chain partners to maintain positive cashflow.
• Produce and agree main contract and subcontract final accounts.
• Support the delivery team to maximise value and mitigate risk.

About The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of key commercial activities across the project, ensuring strong financial performance while maintaining excellent relationships with our customers, supply chain and project teams.

Working closely with operational colleagues and industry specialists, you'll help drive commercial success, deliver value and ensure best practice throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ensuring all contractual and commercial obligations are met in line with Wates processes and procedures.
• Managing procurement activities, subcontract orders and supply chain relationships.
• Producing and submitting monthly cost reports, procurement strategy updates and progress reports.
• Preparing measurements, valuations and managing contractual notices and change control processes.
• Agreeing valuations with customers and supply chain partners to maintain positive project cashflow.
• Producing and agreeing main contract and subcontract final accounts.
• Supporting the delivery team to maximise value, mitigate risk and achieve project objectives.
