Job summary

Wates is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major project in Bedfordshire. You will support commercial management from inception to completion, handling procurement, subcontractor management and cost control, and preparing cost reports and valuations.

You will manage variations and commercial risk, support final accounts, and work closely with delivery, design and supply chain teams to ensure processes align with our standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or the built environment.
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach.
• Experience on medium to large construction projects is beneficial.
