Job summary

Wates is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in Bedfordshire. You will support commercial management through all stages, assisting with procurement, cost control, valuations and final accounts.

The role offers exposure to high‑value projects, collaboration with site and design teams, and a supportive environment with mentoring and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role or a relevant construction/commercial role.
• A degree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience on construction projects is beneficial but not essential.
