Job Role

A Huddersfield-based engineering company that has invented, designed, and patented a highly successful solution has an exciting opportunity for a Site Quality Control Engineer to join their team.

Initially, the role will involve visiting sites to review onsite quality control, ensuring that our clients' facilities are constructed in line with the relevant design and construction best practices. This involves working closely with main contractors and flooring subcontractors, so good interpersonal skills at all levels are essential. After onsite inspections, the engineer will produce a short report using our specialized software.

With further training, the right candidate is expected to attend site meetings as the company's representative.

Requirements

• HND/BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or a related subject
• Site supervision experience
• Understanding of construction and techniques, preferably concrete structures
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Well-organized with good administrative skills

Additional Information

This client-facing role requires a good understanding of engineering construction. During quieter periods, depending on qualifications, the engineer may assist other departments such as Design or Surveying and Testing.
