Job summary

Premier Work Support is seeking a reliable Site Operative for a busy Medway Towns site. The role involves loading/unloading deliveries, moving materials, and assisting with shipments, with hands-on duties daily.

You will operate a 3.5-tonne counterbalance forklift, support site equipment, ensure safety procedures are followed, and maintain a clean working environment. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid 3.5-tonne counterbalance forklift licence.
• Willing to perform practical, hands-on duties.
• Safe handling and storage of materials on site.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries and HGV vehicles.
• Move and store materials safely around the site.
• Prepare outgoing loads and shipments.
• Assist with loading tanker barrels.
• Operate a 3.5-tonne counterbalance forklift to move materials.
• Support site equipment and processing plant.
• Assist with bulking and repackaging of materials.
• Support colleagues with general site operations as required.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Carry out other duties as directed by your line manager.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Site Operative to join our client's busy site in the Medway Towns. This is a hands-on role involving the safe handling, movement and storage of materials, alongside supporting the day-to-day running of the site.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

The Role

• Loading and unloading deliveries and HGV vehicles.
• Moving and storing materials safely around the site.
• Preparing outgoing loads and shipments.
• Assisting with the loading of tanker barrels.
• Operating a 3.5-tonne counterbalance forklift to move materials safely around the site.
• Supporting the operation of site equipment and processing plant.
• Assisting with the bulking and repackaging of materials.
• Supporting colleagues with general site operations as required.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE.
• Carrying out other duties as directed by your line manager.

Requirements

• Holds a valid 3.5-tonne Counterbalance Forklift Licence - essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on duties.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions and procedures.
• A good team player with a flexible approach to work.
• Willing to learn new skills and undertake training.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, waste management or industrial environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
