Job summary

Its Building People is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for our Fareham site. The role blends forklift duties with general warehouse tasks, stock handling and supporting the team. Approximately 30-40% of time is forklift work, with the remainder in warehouse duties to keep orders moving.

Salary is £30,000–£31,000, hours 07:30–16:30, Type: 12 week Temp to Perm. This is an excellent chance to secure a permanent role with a well-established company after a successful temporary period.

• Maintain high health and safety standards.
• Support the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join a busy and growing business in Fareham. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. Approximately 30-40% of your time will be spent operating a forklift, with the remainder involving general warehouse duties, stock handling, and supporting the wider team.

Requirements

• Valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance Forklift licence
• Multi-directional forklift experience (Combilift/Hubtex) would be highly advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred due to the varied nature of the role
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Team player with a positive and proactive attitude

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Reach, Counterbalance, and multi-directional forklifts where required
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Picking, packing, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
• Handling long and awkward materials, including plastics, timber, and steel
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Supporting the warehouse team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
