Job Description:

My client is seeking a Site Operations & Warehouse Manager to oversee warehousing and domestic transport within a busy Airfreight and distribution centre. Responsibilities include managing the site, facilities, logistics solutions, and ensuring cost efficiency and customer service excellence.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage transport administration, planning, and third-party carriers & internal drivers; oversee warehouse inbound and outbound operations.
• Ensure efficient stock management and resource allocation.
• Maintain a safe working environment and oversee site housekeeping.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with a kaizen approach.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet quality standards, KPIs, SLAs, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Handle H&S and maintenance issues; liaise with contractors and landlords.
• Fulfill security responsibilities related to the role.

Additional Duties:

• Plan resources and staff to meet daily operational needs.
• Manage operational supervisors and ensure timely completion of unloading, storage, picking, packing, and loading activities.
• Maintain risk assessments, SSOW, and manage operational costs.
• Keep accurate records and liaise with maintenance contractors.
• Coordinate communication across teams, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Manage domestic transport activities with the Transport Manager and 3PL partners.
• Promote continuous improvement and warehouse housekeeping.
• Handle staff disciplinary actions with HR support.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and training records.

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role within warehouse and transport environments.

- Experience in airfreight operations.

- Strong leadership and motivational skills.

- Flexibility and reliability.

- Ability to work under pressure.

- AvSec and H&S certification preferred.

- Budget management experience.

- Excellent communication skills.

- O Licence desirable; training can be provided.
