Job Description:

My client is seeking a Site Operations & Warehouse Manager to oversee warehousing and domestic transport within a busy Airfreight and distribution centre. Responsibilities include managing site operations, facilities, logistics solutions, and team leadership to ensure cost efficiency and high customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage transport administration, planning, and third-party carrier & internal driver operations.
• Oversee stock management and warehouse goods control, including staff and resource management.
• Maintain housekeeping and a safe working environment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with a Kaizen environment.
• Ensure high-quality standards, customer KPIs, SLAs, and standards accreditation are met.
• Manage health, safety, and welfare compliance, including dealing with H&S issues and maintenance.
• Handle quality and environmental standards compliance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and manage security responsibilities.

Additional Duties:

• Plan resources and staff to meet daily operational targets.
• Manage operational supervisors and ensure timely completion of unloading, put-away, picking, packing, and loading activities.
• Create and maintain risk assessments and SSOW for all responsibilities.
• Monitor operational costs and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate maintenance of operational machinery and materials management.
• Maintain communication across teams, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Manage domestic transport activities with the Transport Manager and 3PL partners.
• Promote continuous improvement and warehouse housekeeping.
• Handle staff disciplinary procedures and monitor performance, attendance, and holidays.
• Maintain staff and supplier records.

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role within warehouse and transport environments.

- Experience in airfreight operations.

- Strong leadership and motivational skills.

- Flexible, reliable, and results-oriented.

- Ability to work under pressure.

- AvSec and H&S certification preferred.

- Budget management experience.

- Excellent communication skills.

- O Licence holder desirable; training available.
