Job summary

Lancashire Renewables Ltd is seeking a Shift Support Operative to join the Operations and Maintenance team at our Thornton facility on a 5-shift system. You will provide flexible support across operational functions, ensuring safe and compliant day-to-day running.

Key duties include assisting with health, safety and environmental compliance, waste processing, SCADA monitoring, recording downtime, weighbridge support, site security and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.
• Good communication skills including radio use.
• PC and IT literacy with basic administrative duties.
• Strong organisational and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and record vehicle movements and waste transactions.
• Coordinate arrivals, deliveries, inductions and site access for contractors and visitors.
• Act as point of contact for site enquiries and liaise with operations teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate operational records and downtime logs.
• Support safety, security, housekeeping and site compliance.
