Job summary

Energas, part of the Air Liquide Group, seeks an experienced Facility Manager for its Birmingham site to lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and grow sales of gas and hardgoods. You will champion safety, manage depot activities, and develop a high-performing team across branches and deliveries.

You will ensure compliance, workforce planning, and strong customer service while coordinating with the wider Sales organization to meet targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in distribution planning and order scheduling.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high customer satisfaction.
• ISO9002 knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate daily branch, yard, store, and trade counter operations.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and performance data to measure productivity and opportunities for efficiencies.
• Manage local purchasing, inventory control systems, and oversee stock counts.
• Act as primary key holder responsible for branch security, cash management, and emergencies.
• Enforce Safety, Health, and Environment policies to protect employees, customers, visitors and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with processes and transport legislation.
• Manage fleet operations, including road safety and load security.
• Partner with the Sales team to actively sell gas and hardgoods to meet revenue targets.
• Champion exceptional customer service across trade counter operations and customer deliveries.
• Recruit, train, and develop branch personnel and foster a collaborative One Team culture.
• Manage staffing schedules and daily duties to drive engagement.
