Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking an experienced Facility Manager for our Smethwick site in Birmingham to lead daily operations, maximise site efficiency and drive commercial success. You will champion a strong safety culture, manage depot operations and inspire a dedicated team while helping grow sales across gas and hardgoods.

The role requires proven leadership, 5+ years in distribution planning, excellent communication, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

Experience leading and coaching teams in a management or supervisory role.
5+ years in distribution planning and order scheduling.
Good numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate daily branch, yard, store, and trade counter operations.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports to measure productivity and identify efficiencies.
Manage local purchasing, inventory control, and stock counts.
Act as primary key holder for branch security and cash management.
Enforce Safety, Health, and Environment policies.
Ensure compliance with processes and transport legislation.
Manage fleet operations and road safety compliance.
Collaborate with Sales to sell gas and hardgoods to customers to meet revenue targets.
Deliver exceptional customer service across trade counter operations and deliveries.
Recruit, train, and develop staff and foster a collaborative culture.
Manage staffing schedules and daily duties.
