Job Opportunity: Site Manager for Large Tunnelling Scheme

We are seeking a highly experienced Site Manager to oversee a significant tunnelling project for United Utilities, focusing on AMP 8. This role requires a hands-on professional with at least 6 years of experience managing large infrastructure schemes.

  1. Project Details: Managing approximately £30M worth of work involving the sinking of four shafts using pipejacking, with diameters of 1200–1500mm and depths of up to 60 metres.
  2. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of health and safety, procurement of plant and materials, quality assurance, and financial management. Leading an engineering and mining team, reporting directly to the Operations Director.
  3. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent within major UK infrastructure projects. Stable employment history with long tenures at previous companies.
  4. Employment Type: Permanent position; freelance or temporary applicants are not considered.
