Job summary

Henley Chase is recruiting a Finishing Foreman to lead finishing trades on site in Carlisle, overseeing brickwork, joinery and interior fit-out to deliver high-quality projects.

You'll coordinate subcontractors, read drawings, manage snagging and ensure timely, specification-compliant, safe completion while liaising with managers and clients across the Carlisle area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman, Working Foreman or Site Supervisor.
• Trade background in Brickwork, Joinery or Interior Fit-Out.
• Ability to read drawings and manage multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all finishing trades on site.
• Coordinate bricklayers, joiners, fit-out teams and subcontractors.
• Manage snagging and quality inspections.
• Ensure works are completed to programme and specification.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and clients.
• Monitor materials, deliveries and workforce productivity.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Finishing Foreman to join a busy construction team delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects across Carlisle and the surrounding area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in brickwork, joinery or interior fit‑out who takes pride in delivering projects to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will oversee the finishing stages of construction, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and snag‑free. Experience leading finishing works, particularly within joinery and fit‑out, is commonly sought for this type of role.

• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid qualification desirable.
