Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd seeks an experienced Site Manager for ongoing supermarket fit-out works in Thornton, Lancashire. You will lead operations in a live trading store, ensuring safety, coordination with the Morrisons site team, and timely delivery of works.

Requirements include SMSTS, CSCS Black (preferred), First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness, and Fire Marshall duties, plus retail refurbishment experience and strong reporting discipline. A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification is required.
• CSCS Black card is preferred.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• Asbestos Awareness knowledge expected.
• Fire Marshall duties may be required.
• Experience in retail refurbishment or live premises is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage works in a live trading store prioritising customer and colleague safety.
• Daily liaison with store and site teams; report in RAMS and daily diaries.
• Oversee subcontractors (flooring, decoration, joinery, M&E) and interface with other contractors.
• Ensure proper site records: diaries, photos, permits and toolbox talks; sign off RAMS.
• Handover to day manager face-to-face at shift change; supervise access and safety decisions.
• Drive and transport to site with full UK driving licence. Nice-to-have: transport.

Job description

BMS require an experienced Site Manager for ongoing works for a Supermarket Project commencing on the 28/09 in ThorntLancashire

You will be experienced in the following:

• Run works in a live trading store – customer and colleague safety, hoarding, segregation and deliveries
• Daily liaison with the Store Manager and the Morrisons site team
• Manage subcontractors – flooring, decoration, joinery, M&E
• Interface with other contractors on site (e.g. refrigeration)
• Daily diary, photo records, permits, inductions, toolbox talks and RAMS sign-off

You must posess teh following:

• Retail or occupied-premises refurbishment experience
• Hand over to the day manager face-to-face at shift change

• Supermarket / Live retail fit-out or refresh experience
• Temporary Works Supervisor, IPAF/PASMA
• Experience alongside a concurrent Principal Contractor (e.g. refrigeration, HVAC, Fast track fit out)
