Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd in Malvern is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a night shift for a supermarket fit-out. You will manage night gangs and specialist trades, ensure safe access, and maintain records to a daily standard.

The role requires SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and experience with live retail refurbishments; you will hand over a clean, trading-ready store each evening and liaise with the day manager at shift change.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or equivalent safety management qualification.
• CSCS card (Black preferred)
• First Aid at Work required.
• Asbestos Awareness and Fire Marshall training.
• Retail or occupied-premises refurbishment experience.
• Confident with photo records and daily reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver heavy works during closed hours (floor uplift, polishing, ceilings, decoration).
• Manage night gangs and specialist trades to schedule.
• Control noise, dust, and access with some colleagues in store.
• Maintain daily records: handover sheets, photos, diary, close-down checklist.
• Ensure store is clean, safe and trading-ready for opening each shift.

Job description

BMSL require an experienced Site Mnager to work NIGHSHIFT at a Supermarket Fit-Out in Malvern.

Duties Include:

• Deliver the heavier works while the store is closed - floor uplift, terrazzo polishing, ceilings, decoration
• Manage the night gangs and specialist trades
• Control noise, dust and access - colleagues may still be working in parts of the store
• Same records standard as days - shift handover sheet, photos, diary, close-down checklist
• Store must be clean, safe and trading-ready for opening, every shift, no exceptions
• Hand over a clean, safe store to the night team every evening

You must have

• SMSTS
• CSCS card Black (Preferred)
• First Aid at Work
• Asbestos Awareness
• Fire Marshall
• Retail or occupied-premises refurbishment experience
• Confident with photo records and daily reporting - records are non-negotiable on this account
• Able to work unsupervised and make the call on safety, access and store liaison
• Full UK driving licence and own transport Nice to have
• Supermarket / Live retail fit-out or refresh experience
• Temporary Works Supervisor, IPAF/PASMA
• Experience alongside a concurrent Principal Contractor (e.g. refrigeration, HVAC, Fast track fit out)
• Hand over to the day manager face-to-face at shift change.
