Job summary

Bamford Contract Services Ltd in Preston is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee social housing kitchen refurbishment projects in and around Preston. You will coordinate multi-trade teams, ensure safety, quality and programmes are maintained.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with kitchen refurbishments, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and the ability to drive progress on up to 10 kitchens per week, liaising with residents and clients to keep works on programme.

Qualifications

• Previous Site Management experience.
• Proven experience within social housing / housing refurbishment.
• Experience managing kitchen refurbishment or kitchen installation projects.
• Experience managing multiple trades.
• Ability to manage a programme of approximately 10 kitchens per week.
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Asbestos Awareness
• Manual Handling
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a busy site and keep works progressing to programme.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating multi-trade teams on site
• Overseeing kitchen refurbishment and installation programmes
• Managing approximately 10 kitchens per week and making sure each kitchen fitter completes a kitchen per day.
• Coordinating subcontractors and trades
• Monitoring progress and ensuring programmes are maintained
• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Ensuring all works comply with health & safety requirements
• Liaising with residents, clients, subcontractors and the project team
• Dealing with any site issues and resolving problems efficiently
• Maintaining site records and reporting on progress
• Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and standard
