Job summary

Bamford Contract Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to oversee a social housing kitchen refurbishment project in Preston. You will be hands-on, manage multi-trade teams, coordinate sub-contractors and ensure works are completed safely, on time and to quality standards.

The role requires SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling, with a start date 28 September 2026 and a daily rate of £260.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management for social housing or housing refurbishment.
• Proven track record managing kitchen refurbishment or installation projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades on site.
• Experience delivering projects to programme and quality standards.
• Must have SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling training.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multi-trade teams on site.
• Oversee kitchen refurbishment and installation programmes.
• Maintain weekly programme targets (about 10 kitchens per week).
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades on site.
• Monitor progress and keep programmes on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure works comply with health and safety requirements.
• Liaise with residents, clients, subcontractors and project team.
• Record site activities and report progress.
• Ensure works meet specified standards.
