Job summary

Londinium Recruitment is seeking a Site Manager for school projects across Reading and Guildford. The role is a holiday cover with an immediate start and requires DBS clearance.

You will oversee multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget on a mix of residential, commercial, and education schemes. Reporting into the Project Manager, you will manage site teams, coordinate contractors, and liaise with suppliers and clients to maintain safety and quality across South-East

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supply chain and client, providing technical expertise on construction matters.
• Keep up to date with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.

The company

Our client is a highly successful Main Contractor who operate across the South-East. Due to the busy summer period, they are looking to bring in Site Managers to help manage the workload across multiple projects.

Projects include residential, commercial, retail, leisure, education, healthcare and more, both within a new build and refurbishment capacity. They work on projects throughout the whole of the South-East.

Some examples of their projects include a £2.5 hotel conversion, £1.4m new build car showroom, £3m school refurbishment, and £2.8m restaurant and commercial new build/fit out project.

The role of the Site Manager

Reporting into the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Ensure successful delivery of a variety of planned works on budget, time in a safe manner and fully in accordance with the company policy and procedures.

Managing a team of Site & Project Managers within the company and motivating other members of staff.

Managing Contractors and direct operatives, enduring planned works are completing on time and within budget whilst minimizing disruption to residents and the public.

You will work closely with the supply chain and client and provide high quality technical expertise on all construction matters.

Keeping fully up to date with the latest Health & Safety regulation

To be successful as a Site Manager, you will need to possess the following:

Strong track record as a Senior Site Manager at a reputable Main Contractor.

Ability to deliver projects on time and within agreed budget

Be extremely process driven and results focused.

Able to manage and motivate a team and deal with any on site issues.
