Job summary

Carbon 60 is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a school construction/refurbishment project in Faringdon. You will manage day-to-day site operations, ensure work is on time and within budget, and uphold health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have SMSTS, a Black CSCS Card at management level, and a proven track record managing construction projects while coordinating subcontractors and site teams. This role requires proactive leadership on a 5-month contract basis.

Qualifications

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
• Black CSCS Card (Management Level).
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project programmes.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day site activities from start to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Carry out site inspections and maintain high health & safety standards.
• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Monitor project progress and resolve any site issues promptly.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
• Manage material deliveries and site logistics.
• Oversee quality control and ensure defects are rectified promptly.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a school construction/refurbishment project in Faringdon.
