Our client is a mid-sized family owned regional contractor with offices across the South and South West England. Operating mainly in the education, leisure and commercial sectors they have secured a significant pipeline of work and are thus looking to add to their professional team.
Site Manager running projects varying in size from £3 - £25 Million you will oversee daily operations on site, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for managing the construction site, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of safety on site.
Conduct site inspections to ensure work is carried out to specification and quality standards..
Manage site resources efficiently, including sub-contractors, materials, and equipment.
Identify and address potential issues proactively, providing solutions to mitigate risks.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and health & safety regulations.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in site management software and tools.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS card, NVQ Level 6/7, or equivalent).
