Job summary

Bell Building Projects Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee live construction sites in Manchester. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, manage subcontractors and ensure safety, quality, and programme delivery on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the role involves driving site activities, maintaining documentation, and liaising with the wider project team to meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, facade replacement, cladding or fire remediation projects would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, site management and project programming.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors, site operatives and deliveries to ensure works progress as planned.
• Monitoring site progress, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant Building Regulations.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with company procedures, CDM Regulations and site-specific requirements.
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, daily briefings and regular safety inspections.
• Reviewing and implementing RAMS, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections, identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Maintaining accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, inspection records and safety documentation.
• Managing quality assurance processes and Golden Thread documentation.
