Job summary

Bell Building Projects Limited in Manchester is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical delivery of the design function. This senior role involves ensuring designs are technically sound, compliant, coordinated and deliverable across cladding remediation, facade replacement and refurbishment projects.

You will work with Design Managers, project teams, consultants and senior management to review submissions, resolve complex issues and drive consistency and quality throughout

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior technical or design management role within construction.
• Strong technical background in facade systems, cladding, external wall systems or structural design.
• Proven ability to lead technical design reviews and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the Design Management team across multiple projects.
• Review design submissions, drawings and specs for accuracy and buildability.
• Oversee design process from pre-construction to project completion and timelines.
• Identify risks, discrepancies and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and safety requirements.
• Lead design review meetings with internal teams, clients and consultants.
• Support Estimating, Commercial and Operations during tendering and delivery.
• Coordinate architectural, structural and subcontractor designs to avoid clashes.
