Job Description

The Site Manager oversees all on-site activities during the construction of solar power plants to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating contractors, managing schedules, ensuring safety and quality standards, and resolving technical issues. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of PV systems, civil works, and electrical installations. The Site Manager communicates with project stakeholders, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for maintaining workflow efficiency and addressing challenges in large-scale solar plant construction.

  • Oversee daily construction activities, schedules, and resource management, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Supervise subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project designs, specifications, and regulations.
  • Enforce safety standards, conduct safety briefings, ensure PPE use, and manage environmental compliance.
  • Monitor quality, inspections, commissioning, and adherence to industry standards; modify the Quality Assurance Plan as needed.
  • Coordinate deliveries and subcontractor services; resolve logistical challenges.
  • Maintain records, report progress, address issues, and approve work completion and invoices.
  • Issue NCRs and organize team-building activities.
Qualifications
  • Project & Site Management: Planning, scheduling, progress tracking, procurement, logistics, and contract management.
  • Technical Expertise: Civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects of PV power plants, including HV/MV infrastructure, grid interconnection, and compliance with electrical and building codes.
  • Software Proficiency: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, PVsyst, SCADA, SAP, Procore, and other relevant tools.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensuring HSE standards, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Communication & Leadership: Managing stakeholders, organizing complex projects, and maintaining a systematic approach.
  • Languages & Flexibility: Fluency in English and willingness to travel for site work.
