Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd in Ipswich is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full operational responsibility for a fast-paced site. You will lead a site team, drive safety culture, manage budgets and KPIs, and deliver exceptional service standards.

The role offers autonomy to influence performance, improve processes and profitability, with scope for development and progression within a well-established business.

Qualifications

• WAMITAB/COTC qualification is essential.
• Experience managing a site, depot or operational facility within waste, recycling, environmental, logistics or industrial sectors.
• Strong Health & Safety leadership experience.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
• Proven people management and team development experience.
• Experience managing budgets and commercial performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a site-based team.
• Drive a proactive Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance at all times.
• Manage operational performance against key KPIs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Own site budgets, commercial performance and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, employment and company policies.
• Build strong working relationships across the wider business.
• Support employee development through coaching, training and best practices.
