Job summary

PSR Solutions are recruiting a Site Manager to join a Civil Engineering client’s Production team on a permanent basis. You will take overall responsibility for delivering civil and water projects to the specified quality, lead teams and ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.

The role requires proven experience in civil engineering project delivery, strong communication and leadership, and a focus on driving results and continuous improvement. A competitive package is on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent CSCS card.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS certification.
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for successful delivery of civil and water projects.
• Deliver work to specified quality without defects.
• Lead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen to deliver work safely and to quality.
• Produce and manage project plans, RAMS, ITPs and other Safe Systems of Work.
• Maximise contract commercial performance.
• Prepare and manage construction programmes, including four-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate procurement and ensure sites have resources to complete tasks.
• Prepare monthly client and internal reports.
• Chair weekly site meetings.

Job description

Job DescriptionPSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Site Manager to Join their Production team on a permanent basis.

Site Manager Roles and Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of various projects in the Civils and Water sectors


• Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects


• When required, lead a teams of Sub Agents, Engineers and Foreman to deliver the work safely without environmental incidents, and to the specified quality.


• Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's plus other Safe Systems of Works, when specified, in line with Company procedures


• Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised


• Produce and manage the project construction programme as well as producing 4 weekly look ahead programmes.


• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks


• Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally


• Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures

Site Manager Requirements

• Experience working within Civil Engineering and as a Site Agent for a contractor, delivering projects in a highly regulated environment


• Heavy civil experience ideally within the water sector


• Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control, including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting


• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering


• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent CSCS card


• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS


• Temporary Works Coordinator


• Confined space training


• Excellent communication, people, and team management skills


• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion
