Job summary

4tify is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a high-spec residential development in Oxenhope. The assignment runs for two weeks, with CIS payment terms and an opportunity to hand over cleanly to the incoming Site Manager.

You will oversee final fix trades across 4 plots, manage snagging, coordinate with subcontractors, maintain progress against the programme, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Freelance Site Manager - Residential New Build (Holiday Cover, 4 Weeks)

Location: Oxenhope, West Yorkshire | Contract: Freelance/Temporary - 4 weeks

We're looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a high-specification residential development of 4 plots. This is a short-term, 2-week assignment covering for our current Site Manager while they're on annual leave.

This isn't a large site, but the finish is far from basic — every plot is being delivered to a high standard, so we need someone who can step in quickly, get up to speed with what's already in place, and keep quality and momentum exactly where they should be.

The Role

You'll be taking the reins on a site that's already well underway, focused on the finishing touches and snagging stage. Day to day, you'll be:

• Overseeing final fix trades and finishing works across all 4 plots, making sure everything is delivered to the high spec the client expects.
• Managing and resolving any snagging items or design changes that come up, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to keep work flowing without delay.
• Maintaining site progress against programme so there's no slippage while permanent cover is away, and keeping on top of health & safety, site diaries, and any client or site visits scheduled during the cover period.
• You'll also need to hand back a clear, well-documented handover at the end of the two weeks so the returning Site Manager can pick things up seamlessly.

What We're Looking For

A Site Manager with solid experience running residential new build projects, ideally with exposure to high-spec or premium finishes. You should be confident working independently and picking up a live site quickly, with strong knowledge of snagging, finishing trades, and quality control. A valid SMSTS and CSCS card (Black/Gold preferred) are essential, along with First Aid at Work certification. Good communication skills are a must, as you'll be the main point of contact for trades, suppliers, and the client during the cover period.
