Job summary

Gleeson Homes is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a high-volume on-site construction team for affordable quality housing. You will manage the on-site team and subcontractors, ensuring safety, schedule and budget adherence while collaborating with on-site sales and head office.

The ideal candidate will have extensive site management experience in high-volume housing, be proficient with construction programmes, NHBC awareness, and use of Zutec and digital plot books.

Qualifications

• Site Manager with experience on high-volume new build housing developments.
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience managing labour-only groundworkers/contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes.
• Experience delivering customer service requirements.
• Awareness of NHBC, Building Regulations, etc.
• Ability to use Zutec and Digital plot books.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development to deliver the build programme in accordance with budgets and forecasts, ensuring final product meets Gleeson Homes standards.
• Full responsibility and control of all site staff and sub-contractors including labour-only groundworkers/contractors, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
• Liaise with head office, NHBC and local authority departments.
• Timely ordering of materials to keep the build programme on track.
• Ensure NHBC inspections are carried out as required.
• Carry out handover inspections of properties with customers per customer care procedures.
• Address customer care defects promptly in collaboration with the customer care team.
• Promote a culture of safety, progress, quality and innovation on site.
