Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Site Manager to join our Facilities Management Projects team, delivering work at BAE Systems' Samlesbury and Warton sites.

You will oversee external contractors, implement CDM controls and support the project management team to deliver safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Qualifications

• Experience leading site teams in construction or facilities management.
• SMSTS certification is essential.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Experience reviewing RAMS and managing Permit to Work systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of external contractors, ensuring work aligns with project plans and site requirements.
• Manage contractor activities with health and safety and CDM processes, reviewing RAMS.
• Prepare and implement Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and manage permits for high-risk activities.
• Act as Authorised Person for Permit to Work systems.
• Carry out site inspections and safety tours to identify hazards and drive safety culture.
• Coordinate with Mitie PM team, contractors and stakeholders to support delivery.
• Monitor progress, maintain records and ensure documentation compliance.
• Inspect completed works for quality and client satisfaction.
• Support contractor performance management and issue resolution.
• Contribute to on-time project completion with minimal disruption.
