Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee façade remediation and re-cladding projects in the Plymouth area. You will manage day-to-day site activities on occupied buildings, coordinating with project teams to deliver works safely and to programme.

The role focuses on façade systems, fire barriers, QA and health & safety, with responsibility for labour and subcontractors, client liaison and handover on completion.

Qualifications

• Hands-on site management experience with façade installations and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of fire barriers, QA processes and health & safety standards.
• Experience managing labour and subcontractors on occupied residential sites.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site activities on remediation and re-cladding projects.
• Managing labour, subcontractors and site logistics to keep works on programme.
• Monitoring the project schedule and progress against milestones.
• Overseeing QA and installation quality to specification.
• Managing health & safety on site and ensuring compliance.
• Liaising with clients and residents to minimise disruption.
• Collaborating with the Project Manager, design and commercial teams.
• Managing works through to completion and handover.

Job description

A well-established façade contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee façade remediation and re-cladding works across the Plymouth area.

The business operates nationwide with a turnover of circa £30m, working with a range of major housebuilders and developers. They have a strong order book for the next two years, alongside an established in-house design capability.

The Role

Working on projects valued between £1m–£5m, you will be responsible for the day-to-day site management of remediation and re-cladding schemes on occupied buildings. Works typically involve stripping existing façade systems, installing new fire barriers and reinstating compliant cladding systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day management of site activities
• Managing labour, subcontractors and site logistics
• Monitoring programme and progress
• Overseeing QA and installation quality
• Managing health & safety on site
• Ensuring fire barriers and façade systems are installed to specification
• Client and resident liaison
• Working closely with the Project Manager, design and commercial teams

The Candidate

You will be a hands-on Site Manager with strong knowledge of façade installation, fire barriers, QA and health & safety, and be confident managing labour and subcontractors within occupied residential environments.
