Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Senior Site Manager for façade refurbishment projects in Plymouth. You will lead external works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safety, quality and programme adherence on site.

The role requires strong experience with EWI, glazing, cladding and rainscreen systems, plus SMSTS, CSCS and a solid knowledge of building control and warranties. It is a long-term contract based on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in external works (EWI, glazing, cladding, rainscreen) and building remediation.
• Experience in a principal contractor capacity.
• Strong understanding of building control and structural warranty standards.
• Proficient in MS Project and MS Office; fluent in JCT Contracts; site-based role.

Responsibilities

• Communicate by conducting meetings and briefings; liaise with client consultants, supply chain and senior management.
• Manage health & safety: inductions, RAMS checks, site surveys, H&S packs.
• Conduct inspections of alarms, temporary structures and project elements under change.
• Perform administration: update site logs/diaries, review drawings, update programme and variations.
• Oversee logistics, staff and supply chain management.

Senior Site Managers – Facades
Plymouth

How would you like to play an integral part in re-defining some of Plymouth's landscape? We are in need of experienced and diligent Senior Site Managers with a proven track record in facades to oversee an external refurbishment programme commencing in the Autumn.

Working for a specialist contractor who has a proven track record in similar schemes, the Senior Site Managers would be leading the project, (Facade installation & cladding remediation works) and will have daily responsibility for delivering the project safely, and within the prescribed budget and time allocations.

There are a a number of key responsibilities including:

• Communication – conducting & organising meetings and briefings, liaising with client consultants, supply chain and senior management
• Health & Safety – inductions, checks and site surveys, reviewing the RAMS, compiling H & S packs
• Inspections – reviewing alarms, temporary structures and other aspects of the project under change
• Administration – ensuring site logs and diaries are updated, conducting drawing reviews, updating the programme and co-ordinating variations
• Management – of logistics, staff and supply chain

You should have a demonstrable work history reflecting previous experience of external works (EWI, Glazing, Cladding, Rainscreen) nd building remediation works, be used to working within a principal contractor capacity and have a sound and thorough understanding of building control and structural warranty standards.

Proficient in MS Project and MS applications, and fluent in JCT Contracts, and, as this is a fully site based role, you should also have SMSTS, CSCS, First aid at work with Scaffold awareness/PASMA being advantageous.
