Job summary

South West Recruitment is recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee an 8-week CAT B interior fit-out project in Poole, Dorset. The role is hands-on, with a carpentry/joinery background preferred and RAMS/health & safety responsibilities.

You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate trades, ensure programme delivery, and maintain safety and quality standards on a 5,000 sq ft commercial interior project. On-site, with potential for future projects for the right person.

Qualifications

• Previous Site Management experience within CAT B commercial interior fit-out.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out trades and sequencing.
• Carpentry/joinery background preferred.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to assist on site.
• Good knowledge of RAMS, Health & Safety regulations and site administration.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and keep a fast-moving project on programme.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card

Responsibilities

• Coordinating labour, materials and the programme of works.
• Monitoring workmanship, progress and Health & Safety.
• Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Managing site documentation including RAMS and records.

• Resolving day-to-day issues to keep the project progressing.
• Providing practical, hands-on assistance to trades where required.

Site Manager - CAT B Interior Fit-Out

Location: Poole, Dorset

Contract: 8 Weeks

Project: 5,000 sq ft CAT B Interior Fit-Out

Day Rate: Up to £340 per day, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 7.30/8.00am - 4.00pm

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an 8-week CAT B interior fit‑out project in Poole.

This is a hands‑on position managing the day-to-day running of a 5,000 sq ft commercial interior project. We are particularly interested in Site Managers who have come from a carpentry or joinery background and are comfortable getting involved practically when required.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the smooth and safe delivery of the project, coordinating trades and ensuring work is completed to programme and the required quality standards.

Your duties will include:

• Day-to-day management of the site and subcontract trades.
• Coordinating labour, materials and the programme of works.
• Monitoring workmanship, progress and Health & Safety.
• Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Managing site documentation including RAMSand relevant records.
• Ensuring compliance with site regulations and safe working practices.

The Ideal Candidate

• SMSTS.
• Valid CSCS Card.
