Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager for Cat A/B office fit out projects in the North East/Newcastle area. The role focuses on day-to-day site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

The position offers long-term potential with the possibility of additional projects with the client beyond the initial 8-month contract. Candidates should have a joinery background, SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work, and be able to pass a background check

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing Cat A and Cat B office fit outs.
• Joinery background preferred.
• Valid SMSTS.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work.
• Fire Marshal / Fire Warden certificate.
• Background check / security clearance for police station project.

Responsibilities

Site Manager - Cat A & Cat B Office Fit Outs

Location: North East / Newcastle area

Rate: 300 per day - UMB or PAYE

Duration: Minimum 8 months with the potential for ongoing/permanent opoprtunites in the future

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager on behalf of a well-established client specialising in Cat A and Cat B office fit out projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and professional Site Manager looking for long-term work with the possibility of joining the client on additional projects beyond the initial contract.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial office fit out project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractors and coordinating all site activities
• Ensuring health & safety compliance across the project
• Monitoring progress against programme deadlines
• Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
• Liaising with the client, project team, and suppliers
• Maintaining quality standards and site documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience managing Cat A and Cat B office fit outs
• A Joinery background is preferred
• Valid SMSTS
• Valid CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Fire Marshal / Fire Warden certificate
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage fast-paced commercial fit out projects independently
• Must be able to pass a background check / security clearance to work on a police station project
